In my humble opinion, fellow nurses...

• Thou shall not put anyone before your patients. Patients come first. All the time!

• Avoid cliques at any cost; instead, be everyone’s friend. Your patients’ lives depend on it.

• Do not speak ill of your fellow nurse, especially to your patients.

• Regard your nurses’ unit, station, and team with respect. Let it be everyone’s safe zone, not only for the select few.

• Honor, respect, and uphold the nursing profession.

• Do not mistreat, harm, or disrespect your patients.

• Do not cut corners or provide substandard care to your patients

• Thou shall not cheat, steal, or breach the scope of your nursing practice

• Do not bear false witness against your fellow nurse or engage in the rumor mill.

• Please, oh, please, do not hoard your knowledge and experience, instead, share it and mentor your fellow nurses with it. Have no fear, no one can take it away from you, instead, others will be empowered by you.
